Customer Service with EI – Guiding Your Patients with a Soft Landing

Support staff is vital to patient care and every role makes a difference. In this session we explore proven approaches and techniques that promote a compassionate, welcoming, and respectful culture. We will focus on emotional intelligence and how it may be embedded in everyday interactions to make meaningful connections with patients and explore ways to guide patients through productive, face-to-face conversations.

The founder of Evolution Healthcare Consulting, Susan Fink Childs has over 30 years of experience directly in healthcare. She is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives, who serves as a medical practice advisor for a diverse array of physicians and medical systems.

As an orator, thought leader, and communications specialist, Ms. Childs is a national speaker and international author on emotional intelligence and leadership, communication, ghost-patient perception, physician-administrator collaboration, revenue cycle, and conflict resolution.

Her most recent book, “The Emotionally Intelligent Physician Leader”, published by AAPL will be out in the fall of 2022!
