Due to recent concerns regarding the bundling of Status “B” codes 99050 (after hours services when office is normally closed) and 99051 (services provided in the office during regularly scheduled evening, weekend, or holiday office hours) as described in the Status Codes Reimbursement Policy, Blue Cross NC has made the business decision to update the Status Codes Reimbursement Policy, effective January 21, 2022.
Blue Cross NC will provide reimbursement for service code 99050 and 99051 for any place of service other than urgent care or emergency department for all specialties.
Claims with dates of service prior to January 21, 2022, that are already pended for post pay review will be processed according to the policy in place on the date services were rendered.

As the year comes to a close, the NCMGMA board of directors would like to share a glimpse into what 2016 looked like for the association. To increase our transparency and provide a better idea of the overall activity of the organization, we have created a 2016 Impact Report which can be accessed at the link below.
The 2016 Impact Report contains a letter from our 2014-16 President, Jacob Rodman, metrics from our various 2016 programs and events, and a glimpse into our board’s vision for 2017. Our hope is that this report will share our association’s activity and health, and a look at how the membership dollars are spent.
Thank you to all of our members, sponsors and partners for your continued support of the NCMGMA. We look forward to another successful year in 2017, continuing our vision of being the “leaders for tomorrow’s healthcare.”
