2020 Annual Conference Announcement from

Dear NCMGMA Members, Supporters and Friends:

The health, safety and well-being of NCMGMA’s attendees, faculty, speakers, exhibitors and staff are of the greatest importance. Given the climate of the COVID-19 crisis and current state of healthcare, the NCMGMA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 NCMGMA Annual Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Registered attendees, your Annual Conference registrations will be transferred to the 2020 Fall Conference scheduled for September 16-18, 2020 at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel in downtown Asheville, NC. If you would prefer a refund, please provide that request to us in writing at info@ncmgm.org and we will begin that process.

To our 2020 Alliance Sponsors, thank you again for your support of our organization. We are equally disappointed that we are not able to deliver this meeting. As you know, our leaders are volunteers and their current primary focus is making sure their practices can support their communities and withstand the crisis surrounding them and, with respect to that, we are asking for a bit more time for us to process what the next, right step is (and what is possible) for sponsors in regard to what we can plan to offer. We are working on this so there is more to come soon.

The Marriott Myrtle Beach Grande Dunes has been a wonderful partner and considering the situation, we will make plans to return to this location in May of 2021. For anyone who made reservations with the Marriott, your reservations will be cancelled automatically, and you should receive a cancellation email directly from the hotel. If you do not receive this by Friday, March 27th, please contact the hotel directly at 1-843-449-8880 to handle your room cancellation.

We want to thank our Conference Committee, speakers, exhibitors, leaders and staff who worked for many months to deliver a spectacular program of education and events. As far as any of us can remember, there has never been a time when our hands have been forced to cancel a meeting for our members, not even our meeting held just two days after 9/11.

Until we can meet again, we continue to find community and connection together through the spirit of our member list serve and other information posted to the NCMGMA Coronavirus resource page. We encourage you to continue to post and send in pertinent information to share with our members and the general NC healthcare community.

It continues to be a privilege to lead NCMGMA through this extraordinary time. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we consider the rapidly changing circumstances along with the safety and well-being of not just our meeting participants and staff, but their families, colleagues and patients.
