Charlotte Regional Education Day Wrap-up

Thank you to everyone who came out last Thursday to the Harris Conference Center for our Charlotte Regional Education Day. Attendees and exhibitors participated in essential and timely educational and networking sessions.

Jonathan Frisk presents “Workplace Violence: Supervisors and Staff Response to an Active Shooter”

The day’s sessions included active shooter training provided by Jonathan Frisk of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), expert advice on maximizing employee engagement and performance by the Leadership Therapist Scott Carbonara, and enhanced patient recruitment strategies by Stephen Fogg of Fogg Media. According to attendee Barbara Mabe, CMA, AAMA, of A Woman’s View, “It was one of the best conferences I have been to in a long time!”

NCMGMA held our annual business meeting where we elected our 2019-20 Board of Directors and Jane Lutz, 2018-19 NCMGMA president passed the gavel to incoming president Steve Parker of Curi – a Medical Mutual Co. NCMGMA accomplished much under Jane’s leadership. We thank her for her dedication and service, and we look forward to the new year under Steve’s capable direction. Thank you again, to everyone who came out and supported this event. The goal of the Charlotte Regional Education Day was to provide continuing education in our member’s backyards, and by the strong attendance the event received, and the quality of the survey results we received back, we were successful in achieving our goal.

Our Durham Regional Education Day is scheduled for November 1st at the JB Duke Hotel in Durham and it offers the same courses provide at the Charlotte event.
