PQRS, Meaningful Use deadlines extended to March 11
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently extended the deadline for eligible professionals (EPs) to attest to the Meaningful Use program and submit PQRS data via certain reporting options. For Meaningful Use, EPs now have until March 11 to attest to meeting 2015 requirements. The March 11 deadline extension also applies to EPs who participated in the 2015 PQRS program using EHR Direct, an EHR Data Submission Vendor (QRDA I or III) or a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QRDA III). All other PQRS data submission deadlines remain unchanged from March 11 or March 31 depending on the mechanism. For specific deadlines, visit MGMA’s PQRS Resource Center.

Upcoming CMS webinars to discuss public reporting of group practice data on Physician Compare
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has gradually made group practice and physician information publicly available on the Physician Compare website. Most recently, the agency added 2014 PQRS measure data for certain group practices and individual eligible professionals. To explain the information currently available on Physician Compare and the agency’s future plans for public reporting, including the addition of star ratings, CMS will host three one-hour webinars at the following times:

  • Feb. 23 at 12:00 pm ET;
  • Feb. 24 at 4:00 pm ET; and
  • Feb. 25 at 11:00 am ET.

Each webinar will present the same information and include a question and answer session. Register for a webinar to learn more about how your practice’s information may be depicted on Physician Compare.
