Open Draft Local Coverage Determination (LCD) Meetings: February 2016
The following policies will be discussed during the Open Draft Local Coverage meeting in February 2016: Special Electroencephalography (DL33447), Polysomnography DL36593 and White Cell Colony Stimulating Factors DL36598 A/B MAC LCDs and Allergy Skin Testing DL33417, Implantable Infusion Pump DL33461, and Varicose Veins of the Lower Extremities DL33454 Part B LCDs. CMS Updates Open Payments Data and Improves Website
On January 19, CMS updated the Open Payments dataset, consistent with the values we published on June 30, 2015. The total value before this update was $9.9 billion. The updated Open Payments dataset reflects: Changes made to records, Changes to delays in publication flags, Changes to disputed records and Records that were deleted. Billing Instructions for Investigational Device Exemptions (IDEs)
When requesting recognition as participants in investigational device exemptions (IDEs), the information listed in this article must be furnished to Palmetto GBA prior to submission of a claim for payment. Interested parties with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval letters dated January 1, 2015 or later for IDE Category A or Category B studies that are seeking Medicare coverage for Category A or B IDE studies must submit a request packet to CMS. Please share with appropriate staff.
