Greater Greensboro Chapter Report

By Fran Sembert, GGMGMA Secretary

The Greater Greensboro Medical Group Management Association (GGMGMA) ushered in the holiday season by hosting a Christmas party for its members in early December. Members enjoyed good food and networking and demonstrated a spirit of giving by making generous donations to BackPack Beginnings, a local nonprofit providing food, comfort items and certain basic necessities to children in our community through the use of backpacks.

The Chapter kicked off its new year with a presentation on Applying Risk Reduction Strategies to Enhance Patient Safety by Karen Civali, risk manager for MagMutual, on January 28 at 8 a.m. at The Women’s Hospital of Greensboro. The meeting was sponsored by Ozone Waste Solutions.
