2014 mid-year QRURs released

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently made available the 2014 mid-year Quality and Resource Use Reports (QRURs) to all solo practitioners and physician groups nationwide. The performance period reflected on the 2014 mid-year QRURs is July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. While the 2014 mid-year QRURs provide a preview of how groups and solo practitioners would perform on cost and quality measures under the value-based payment modifier (VBPM), the reports do not share actual performance used to calculate specific payment modifications. As part of its efforts to provide more timely feedback to physicians and groups, CMS is providing these reports on an informational basis. The agency plans to release annual 2014 QRURs in late summer, which will show impacted groups how the VBPM will affect their 2016 payments. EPs can access their 2014 mid-year QRURs through the CMS Enterprise Portal.

On June 3, 2015, CMS will host a webinar to instruct physicians and groups on how to interpret the 2014 mid-year QRURs. To register for this event, click here. To learn more about how to access and interpret your QRURs, visit MGMA’s QRUR Resource Page.
