On Friday, May 11th, 2012 the North Carolina Medical Group Managers wrapped up its Spring Conference in the beautiful coastal town of Myrtle Beach, SC. This year the overall theme was “Turning Vision into Action” and the conference attracted vendors, students, administrators, and many others who influence the healthcare industry. Attendees had the opportunity to network with colleagues, vendors. They also had the opportunity to attend educational sessions that provided valuable knowledge.
The event was hosted in the beautiful Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes, and the weather couldn’t have been better. The guests were treated to cheese and wine in the ocean front patio, and a wonderful dinner where Donna Moseley was named the NCMGM/Medical Mutual Administrator of the Year.
There was a lot of buzz around some of the following subjects to name a few:
- Building a winning service culture with Valerie Oberle
- Meaningful Use and Security assessments
- NCMGM Social Media presence and new listserve
- Fraud detection
The NCMGM continues to be an incredible source of information and contacts for healthcare professionals. With its recent celebration of its 40th year, it continues to keep all its members up-to-date through conferences and online events on relevant areas to the management of medical organizations.
